A bus and a jeep collided head-on
Three people were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a jeep near the village of Litakovo, Botevgrad region. The bus was returning to night shift workers from the Botevgrad factories.

The accident happened around 6:30 this morning. 10 ambulances from Sofia arrived at the scene immediately, the Emergency Service announced.
According to initial data, the jeep entered oncoming traffic and collided with the bus head-on. As a result of the impact, the bus overturned on the side of the road, requiring the intervention of firefighters. The driver and passenger of the jeep, which has a Romanian license plate, were killed. They had a visible age of 20 to 25 years.

Two 54-year-old women and a 64-year-old man, who is also the driver of the crashed bus, were injured in the accident. They were transferred to St. Anna Hospital. Subsequently, one of the women, who was in danger of death, died in hospital.
Traffic on the III-161 Botevgrad – Litakovo road is temporarily restricted. Drivers of vehicles of up to 4.5 tons to move with greater attention and adequate speed on the following ring road: road I-1 – Lyuti dol – road III-161 – Rebarkovo and vice versa, called by RIA. The bypass route for vehicles over 4.5 tons is: Botevgrad – Sofia – Novi Iskar – Svoge – Mezdra and vice versa.
