Minutes ago, the meeting between the leaders of the Municipality of Plovdiv, represented by Deputy Mayor Plamen Raichev, the leadership of PFC Botev, represented by Angel Paliyski, representatives of the association and fan factions, ended.
The restart of construction of the Hristo Botev stadium was discussed at the meeting, he learned exclusively Plovdiv24.bg.
The stages of construction were affected. For the full completion of the stadium, according to the latest offer, around BGN 35 million is needed. Therefore, it was decided to divide the procedure into two stages.
In the first stage, which should not cost more than the BGN 25 million provided, the stadium must be suitable for holding Group “A” matches. This includes the stadium visors, on which the lighting must be placed.
For the second stage, construction and installation activities will continue, which refer to the stadium license before UEFA. These are a television studio, journalistic lodges, commercial areas, elements on the external facade, etc.
It was now decided to announce a competition for both stages and select contractors. The first stage will begin immediately, and the second will be implemented when (or if) additional funds of 10 million are found.
Architect Savov, who updated the project, said he would meet the deadline and be ready with the quantity and value account until May 15.
Plamen Raichev predicts that it will take approximately a month to prepare the tender documentation the procedure will be launched in late June. After that, the selection of a contractor will take another month.
This means that if a contractor is selected and there is no appeal, the restart of the “university” may take place in August.
