The World Food Atlas featured the 100 best traditional specialties on the planet.
Containing a database of more than 10,000 traditional dishes and local products, Taste Atlas publishes an annual list of the best dishes in the world. It is based on the votes of more than 63,000 people.
First is the Neapolitan pizza “Margarita”. with a score of 4.66, and Italian cuisine won the title of best traditional cuisine in the world.
Sarmata entered the top 10 (albeit as the most requested Turkish dish in Bucharest), and Bosnian kebabs are ranked 30th on the list with an average score of 4.22.
The list also includes goulash, moussaka, paprikash, but also cheeseburger as a traditional American specialty.

Ramen soup (Japan)
Lomo Saltado (Peruvian Beef) (Peru)
Doner kebab (Turkey)
Tacos al Pastor (Mexico)
Cold soup “Shaltibarshchai” (Lithuania)
Goza (Japanese ravioli with minced meat) (Japan)
Cochinita Pibil (pork marinated in spices) (Mexico)
Sarma (Turkey)
Greek gyros are ranked 12th, Italian Milanese risotto and lasagna Bolognese are 13th and 15th respectively.
The Bolognese tagliatelle (16) is ahead of the Pasta Carbonara (19) and the Turkish meatball is ranked 20. Many American BBQ rib favorites are on the 21st.
Hungarian goulash is on the 39th and Japanese sushi on the 45th. Cheeseburger and moussaka rank 56th and 57th, respectively. Immediately after them is the Ukrainian borsch.
KFC-style fried American chickens rank 86th.
