The organizer of the ugly scenes and a fight between students in the center of Plovdiv is a 14-year-old boy named David, he found out Plovdiv24.bg.
During interrogations with the investigating authorities, it became clear that it was a group of boys and girls who organized to protest against people of different sexual orientations. During the conflict in the Garden of Tsar Simeon, passers-by intervened yesterday to stop the confrontation, and one of them was deprived of sunglasses worth 140 lev. The perpetrator of the act has been identified: he is 15 years old and is from the village of Branipole in Plovdiv.
Yesterday in the Second District a signal was received for a group of young people of about 16 years old, who are in the Garden of Tsar Simeon and behave aggressively with another group of young people there, shooting themselves with eggs. A police patrol was immediately dispatched to the scene. After checking the signal, it is understood that there is a confrontation between young people, some supporting people with different sexual orientations, while others are against it.
Interrogations of 3 of the children revealed that they had organized especially to protest against the LGBT community. The police officers received explanations from 16 people, boys and girls from both sides. Law enforcement agencies continue to work on the case, conducting interviews with parents and planning additional interviews at the participants’ schools. The prosecution is also conducting an investigation.
