They robbed a pensioner in broad daylight in Sofia. An 89-year-old man was separated from 400 BGN minutes after receiving his pension at the post office in the Geo Milev district of the capital.
Video cameras recorded a car stopping in the street.
The scammer introduced himself as the chief cashier of the post office. He told the pensioner that, by mistake, they had given him 50 BGN less. The man gave up his entire pension to be counted. Minutes later, he realized that he had been the victim of a scam.
Police officers from the 1st district office are working on the case.
