The traffic management system will be renewed with a new public procurement for the installation of video surveillance. This was stated minutes ago by the Deputy Mayor of Transportes Todor Chonov, said a reporter Plovdiv24.bg.
Currently, modern traffic and traffic monitoring cameras are installed at 24 intersections in Plovdiv. The system will be updated with 24 more cameras.
We remind you that now the traffic police will use the recordings of the municipal cameras at intersections and boulevards to impose fines for infractions. This decision was made at a meeting between local authorities and the leadership of the Ministry of the Interior in Plovdiv. Thus, the files of the municipal company can now be sent to the Traffic Police.
“Each of the materials that will be provided to us by the Traffic Management Center in the Municipality of Plovdiv will be carefully considered and the specific infraction established,” commented Chief Inspector Botyo Girginov of the Plovdiv Traffic Police.
Files documenting violations are reviewed to clarify the circumstances surrounding their occurrence. Car owners or drivers to whom the car was delivered are searched, after which administrative action is taken.
