Protesters gathered for the 69th consecutive night in Independence Square to demand the resignation of the Boyko Borissov government and Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev, Bulgarian National Radio reported. The demo went smoothly and without incident.
And last night there was a demonstration against the government under the slogan “We are not afraid.” Traffic on Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd. was blocked from Nezavisimost Square to the intersection with GS Rakovski Street.

The police presence in the area was weak.
Early in the night, the organizers of the anti-government act promised today, when it will be the 70th day of the protest, that there will be surprises for the ruling party, but without specifying what they will be.
Organizers of the protest also warned that lawmakers would amend the Electoral Code at second reading today.
“They will try to return the ballots together with the machines,” warned one of the “poisonous trio”, Arman Babikyan, adding: “They will try to extend the delivery time of the machines by a month and a half more so that there is no time for their delivery. until the elections and thus vote only with ballots. That way they can once again try to win with machinations, stealing the vote of the Bulgarians. “
While the traditional projection on the wall of the old Party House was still being prepared tonight, the mothers of children with disabilities from the “The system kills us” initiative organized their event.
White paper lanterns flew over the buildings of the former party house and the Council of Ministers during the 69th anti-government protest. Shortly after 8 pm, they were set on fire and released by children organized by the mothers of the “The system kills us” initiative.
Each of the lanterns had one of the letters of the word “resigned.”
“The flashlights are the dreams of our children, we hope they do not fly away aimlessly. On the contrary, we want their dreams to come true,” Iliana Marinova, of the “The system kills us” initiative, told BNR.
The first day of school was the focus of speeches from the makeshift protest platform in the Plaza de la Independencia.
At the same time, the television appearances of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and the leader of the Volya party, Veselin Mareshki, who was convicted the day before, were projected on the wall of the parliament building.
