Kamen Chanev.
Friends of the world famous opera singer Kamen Chanev urgently sought convalescent blood plasma from a B + patient, after Chanev entered the hospital with COVID-19.
Antoniy Andonov from Sliven explained:
Kamen and I have been friends since childhood. I responded to what the opera singer Tanya Ivanova wrote on social networks, I called a well-known doctor who had already given him plasma once and he accepted. Today he travels to Sofia. I am unfamiliar from a technological or medical point of view, it will probably be judged whether Kamen’s body will tolerate plasma transfusion. Thank God there are also receptive people. The judgment of the doctors remains.
Take heart and we pray that all is well. We have done what we have to do. Kamen is strong, I know he will be fine, I think!
Kamen Chanev graduated from the Sofia State Academy of Music. He specializes in the Roman Academy of Arts and Culture with Boris Hristov. He has worked with Alexandrina Milcheva, Gena Dimitrova, Leone Majera (Luciano Pavarotti’s pianist).
In 1992 he started working at the Sofia Opera. After five seasons, he moved to Prague, where he sang for two years before becoming self-employed. He lives in Vienna and performs in prestigious venues such as the Staatsoper (Vienna), Deutsche Opera (Berlin), Lyceum (Barcelona), La Fenice (Venice) and others.
