According to initial data, around BGN 4,000, EUR 800 and USD 100 were confiscated during a robbery at a bank branch in Sandanski. The information is published on the official website of the District Prosecutor’s Office – Blagoevgrad.
The announcement states that at the moment it is known that shortly after 3 p.m. tonight a sum of money was withdrawn from a bank office on Svoboda Street in Sandanski.
During the investigation it was established that he was penetrated by a window at the rear of the building, the metal lattice mounted on it was cut and the glass was broken.
The security cameras were sprayed with paint, the prosecutor’s office said. There was a locked metal cabinet in the cashier at the bank branch, and the key was in it. According to initial data, around BGN 4,000, EUR 800 and USD 100 were seized.
The bank’s office is connected to an alarm system and security activities, and at 3.12 am an alarm signal was received to enter it, the Blagoevgrad District Prosecutor’s Office reported. The place was visited by company employees, who guard the site, one minute and fifteen seconds after the registration of the signal. The perpetrators were not identified because they had already left the premises.
The announcement also states that, under the leadership of the District Prosecutor’s Office – Sandanski, an investigation is being carried out on the preliminary proceedings for a crime under art. 195, para. 1 of the Penal Code.
