Cooling is expected in the new week

On Sunday it will begin to cloud over the country from the west. It is possible for it to rain lightly in the afternoon in northwestern Bulgaria. However, the temperatures continue to rise and during the day it will be 27 to 32 degrees. The hottest, up to 35 degrees, will be on the Veliko Tarnovo – Ruse line in the Danube plain and in places in southeastern Bulgaria. The wind will intensify and its afternoon gusts will be felt on the northern slopes of the mountains and in northeastern Bulgaria. There is a yellow code in effect in several areas.

A cloud of desert dust covers the Balkans

The new week will start with high temperatures. Again on the Danube plain and in the southeast, the thermometers will show 30 to 35 degrees on Monday afternoon. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the heat will be limited to the southeast, as the west will begin to cool with the fall rains. A cold atmospheric front will pass over the country, which will lower the degrees. The rains will cover the period from Tuesday to Friday and will move from west to east. There will be thunder in some places. The wind will continue to be strongest in the middle of the week in the Danube plain.

The influx of warm air from the Mediterranean moves with a cloud of dust from the African desert, which has already begun to faintly be felt in southwestern Bulgaria. The dust will continue with a trend to retreat from the country on Thursday. Where the concentration is highest, muddy rains are possible.
