Plovdiv residents panic after the city was shaken by a 4.5-magnitude earthquake in Richter.
The earthquake was recorded 11 km. northeast of Grad in the heat around 2pm and is 2km deep.
“We were rocking a lot. We were having lunch with my wife when the earthquake started. It took ten seconds, but it was not easy. One of our photos fell. I went out on the terrace and saw many of us and the neighboring blocks outside. He told a BLITS reader on the earthquake.
“There was a loud crash, and then there was a second noise,” said the Plovdiv woman.
Other BLITS readers claim to have felt the earthquake in Botevgrad and Sofia.
“When we stopped, we heard a loud bang. We thought someone was thundering. The earthquake was first vertical, and then we began to oscillate and it seemed to be horizontal. We were scared,” residents of Plovdiv worried.
People are still standing in front of their blocks. “We pray to the Lord not to repeat it,” they shouted.
Speaking to the media, Plovdiv Police Chief Commissioner Yordan Rogachev stated that there were no reports of damage and injuries.
