998 are the new cases of coronavirus in our country during the last 24 hours in 7442 PCR tests. Thus, the total number of infected so far is 28,505 people. Positive samples represent 13.4% of the total number of tests.

16,875 people were cured. 197 of them were registered during the last 24 hours.

14 people have died in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 958. They died:

– a 76-year-old woman with heart, chronic lung and chronic kidney disease;

– a 71-year-old woman with an unspecified disease;

– 81-year-old woman. with asthma;

– an 80-year-old man with heart disease and diabetes;

– a 78-year-old man with an unspecified disease;

– a 71-year-old woman with diabetes, heart, cancer, and chronic lung disease;

– a 78-year-old woman for whom there is currently no information on comorbidities;

– 86-year-old woman with diabetes, heart disease and chronic neurological disease;

– a 79-year-old man for whom there is currently no information on comorbidities;

– a 77-year-old woman for whom there is currently no information on comorbidities.

1,450 confirmed COVID-19 patients were admitted to hospitals. 76 of them are housed in intensive care units and clinics.

After a serious illness due to COVID 19, this morning at the age of 66 the obstetrician-gynecologist Prof. Dr. Georgi Hubchev, head of the department of obstetrics and gynecology at the Deva Maria University Hospital in Burgas, passed away. He was diagnosed with coronavirus on October 2.

There are a total of 1,520 doctors who have been diagnosed with the new coronavirus. In the last 24 hours, 37 new cases have been registered, 17 of which have been identified by doctors, 9 by nurses, 1 by nurse, 1 by paramedic and 9 with other medical personnel.
