Not bad that they call us Millionerovo, some of the richest people in Plovdiv and Asenovgrad are from here, says the new Deputy Mayor Raycho Tyutyundzhiev to “Maritsa”.
“What’s wrong? The richest people in Plovdiv and Asenovgrad are from Mostovo. We have 6-7 millionaires, we also have two bears! Why a town without bears and millionaires,” Tyutyundzhiev wonders.
He wrote about the town of Mostovo “24 hours” HERE months ago.
For two months, the town of millionaires Mostovo has a new deputy mayor. Former police captain Raycho Tyutyundzhiev is ambitious and has taken two important projects seriously. One has been bearded for 40 years and is on the road between the village and the nearby Cross Forest. The other is the laying of new metal steps in the legendary Karadjov stone, so as not to disturb tourists.
No one in Mostovo complains when they hear that the other name for their village is Milionerovo.
Statistics show that 7 very wealthy citizens actually came from here, although the permanent residents of the village are 61 people, and it is equal to Vrata, Sini Vrah, Ryakata, Chotrovo and Kurdzhieva neighborhoods.
At noon, the current residents of the town, former city drivers or tobacco growers, gather to have a barbecue in the garden of the square. They bring out beer and cave putty. Something akin to a spontaneous Grand National Assembly is taking shape. And while they chew kebabs and arangle bacon, they ask for news in town.
The biggest entrepreneurs with profitable companies in Bulgaria are from Mostovo.
Like the two brothers Alexander and Ivan Assenovi. They distribute a bag of flour, oil, sugar, and various products to each resident.
The other wealthy from Mostova are Alexander Chotrov from Chotrova mahala, Asen Kikyov, Dimitar Karadzhov, and Asenovgrad brothers Hristo and Raycho.
“All of our rich people are very modest and never flaunt their money,” said Ivan, a 67-year-old former driver.
Asen Kikyov became famous in the scandals surrounding the construction of the “Guest House” site in the Belintash protected area. He and his neighbor Dimitar Surov have been suing for years, and RDNSK-Plovdiv discovered in May 2013 that the construction was illegal. Mostovtsi says that Kikyov has sold the Guest House complex.
