Tesla updated the Model S and Model X, but not in the traditional way (through the so-called facelift), but by updating the software. The Model S Performance is now faster than the Bugatti Chiron: Accelerating from 97 km / h (60 mph) to a two-ton electric vehicle now takes 2.3 seconds, 0.1 seconds faster than the powerful 1500 hp hypercar.
Tesla does not reveal how it has removed 0.2 seconds of its model’s performance so far (with Model X the improvement is 0.1 seconds, from 2.7 to 2.6 seconds). All that is said is that the performance of the Model S needs to be triggered using a new startup mode called “Cheetah Stand”.
