US President-elect Joe Biden has said he will ask Americans to wear protective masks for 100 days after taking office.
In her first joint interview with her deputy, Kamala Harris, after the November 3 election, she said she would issue an order to wear masks in places where she has power, such as federal administration buildings.
Biden said he had asked the director of the Institute for Allergic and Infectious Diseases, Anthony Fauci, to become his top health adviser and part of his administration team to deal with COVID-19.
Fauci was a member of Donald Trump’s White House Coronavirus Task Force.
Joe Biden also said that he would be vaccinated against the disease as soon as the expert said the vaccine was safe.
