The first hearing of the civil case was scheduled for November 20 in the Sandanski court. In early October, the mother reported the violence to the police. A lawsuit was also filed against the father in Sandanski court under the Protection Against Domestic Violence Act. Christina complained that Georgi was threatening her with a gun, telling her that he would force her to commit suicide. Her lawyer, Manyo Alexiev, explained that the woman was often subjected to mental and physical harassment.
