” We follow each issue with extreme concern. Most of the Bulgarians who enter the statistics have comorbidities. The Bulgarian nation has serious health problems. We have a bad medical culture and that shows it. This was said by the Minister of Health Kostadin Angelov on the program “Panorama”, which is broadcast on BNT.
Minister Angelov revealed that he is committed to a strategic plan for the health of the nation. “This is what our health care system can offer,” explained the former director of the Alexandrovska Hospital.
“There was no health system prepared for this pandemic,” acknowledged the minister.
“We are in one of the leading places in terms of the number of beds per capita, we have medicines, equipment, we have enough plasma centers, but we don’t have staff,” added Kostadin Angelov.
“We could have taken these measures earlier, but we postponed them because the incidence was low. We start when we reach morbidity levels of 600 per 100,000. The plan that we are following to tighten the measures is the same as in other countries. “We cannot accept antigen tests because other health professionals do not understand it. If we do not follow the measures, we will not get anywhere,” explained the Minister of Health.
“We have a contract for four vaccines. Health is priceless. All Bulgarian citizens must have the same access as all EU citizens. The vaccine will reach any point in our country,” promised Minister Kostadin Angelov.
“Now is the time to say something very important. The problem with the coronavirus may be the first, it may be the last that Bulgarian politicians can rally around. Let them not seek political dividends. Only then can we win this battle. It begins. the attack of humanity against the coronavirus. We will defeat it thanks to vaccines, “said the minister.
“We will direct all the power of the state against the virus. We will defeat him, ” he threatened the virus.
“This epidemic has confronted us with something very important. The virus requires each person to become a doctor, wear a mask, keep their distance, observe disinfection. This is the guarantee of success,” said Health Minister Kostadin Angelov .
