Professor Angelov carried out a midnight inspection at Sofia airport
We know for sure about the new strain of coronavirus – that it spreads faster and is affected by the new vaccine. This was stated by the Minister of Health, Prof. Kostadin Angelov, during a midnight inspection at the Sofia airport. There, he verified that his order to ban flights to and from Great Britain and Northern Ireland, issued a few hours ago, was being complied with.
No entry to Bulgaria for arrivals from Great Britain and Northern Ireland (ORDER)
“We are determined to protect Bulgaria from the new strain. Although there is a tendency to increase the number of cured, I will say once again: I do not want the Bulgarian citizens to be cured, I want them to be healthy,” said the minister.
He explained that in the hours after the travel order to and from the island came into force, three planes landed in our country. Of a total of 667 passengers, 659 will be in quarantine for 10 days. The other 8 have decided that they prefer to return to the United Kingdom, and for this they will have to wait for comfortable flights in the border areas, explained the Minister of the Interior, Hristo Terziiski.
