A young woman died and six others were injured in the accident. The news was announced in a courtroom by Burgas District Attorney Georgi Chinev, who is also the supervising prosecutor in the case.
The discovered drug was sent for examination to the Military Medical Academy.
The state prosecution insists on the imposition of the most severe measure of coercion “Detention in custody.” The drug test showed that the driver was behind the wheel after using methamphetamine.
“The defendant knew that he was taking charge of driving a heavy truck after using drugs, which shows that he is inclined to show the rule of law,” prosecutor Chinev commented. Ivanov also committed other violations of traffic regulations.
