The state prosecution insists on the imposition of the most severe measure of coercion “Detention in custody.” The drug test showed that the driver was behind the wheel after using methamphetamine.

“The defendant knew that he was taking charge of driving a heavy truck after using drugs, which shows that he is inclined to show the rule of law,” prosecutor Chinev commented. Ivanov also committed other violations of traffic regulations.

According to the defense, the most likely cause of the accident was a failure in the truck’s brakes. Ivanov’s lawyers claim that, according to witnesses, the heavy machine was moving at around 40 km / h. If this is the case, it will become clear once the designated car technical expertise is ready.

The defendant told the court that he had no intention of eloping because he had a daughter to study.

The court is expected to rule.
