The container ship Ever Given is back on the road after being trapped in the Suez Canal for six days.

This was first shown in videos on social media, then confirmation came from the head of the channel’s administration Osama Rabie – Arab media quoted him as saying that he had “started to maneuver.” The official announcement of the administration will be made soon.

In the six days that Ever Given was stalled, global trade disruptions averaged $ 400 million an hour, and both sides blocked hundreds of vessels.

The operation for the 400-meter boat was successfully completed at 5:30 Bulgarian time. However, the official opening of the channel for the rest of the traffic is near.

The container ship, which blocked the Suez Canal diagonally, is already being described as moving to its destination on VesselFinder, a site that monitors international shipping.

A total of 369 vessels were blocked. Some companies chose to divert the route without going through Africa because it was not known if the operation would last days or weeks.

Oil prices fell after the news. Brent fell $ 1 to 63.67 a barrel.

The Suez Canal administration hopes to speed up the flow of traffic when Ever Given is released. The losses for him alone amount to $ 14-15 million per day.
