The driver who caused an accident with a victim in Sofia was arrested. The woman was charged with driving a car on Boycho Boychev Street in the direction of President Lincoln Blvd. to Suhodolska Street around 10.50 pm on December 17 in the capital. the oncoming lane collided with an oncoming car.
As a result, it inadvertently caused the death of the driver of the other car, as well as moderate bodily injury to the passenger in it. The driver of the car committed the crime while intoxicated.
The investigation into the pre-trial process is ongoing. The Prosecutor’s Office indicates that this is another case of serious violation of traffic regulations when driving a motorized vehicle after drinking alcohol, as a result of which innocent citizens die.
For this reason, at the beginning of the year the Bulgarian Prosecutor General presented proposals to amend the Penal Code, the adoption of which would help to limit the commission of such crimes.
