Explained that the situation in recent months is dire and continues to be so even now. According to him, the opening of kindergartens has a medical explanation.
“In October, Alexandrovska Hospital admitted 37 patients with COVID-19, and in November there were already 297. The number of patients in October was 560 and in November 1560. The measures imposed are quite adequate and correct. To date, at least we have vacancies in the buffer and triage zones. This was not the case before the measures imposed ”, explained the specialist.
Add that the expected reduction in mortality will be in about 14 days.
“The death rate in our hospital last year was about 200 people. Just for mid-October and all of November of this year we have – 57 cases,” explained Prof. Bogov.
He expressed the view that the countries around us had relaxed the measures due to the mathematical models, but had to return them again.
“The vaccine cannot be a panacea to stop the infection. However, this is a great opportunity against the pandemic. The vaccine is expected to be a reality in the first week of January. It is good that popular people lead by example and get vaccinated, ”explained Professor Bogov.
He added that even for his team at the hospital, vaccination would be desirable. According to him, it would be wrong for a company to force its staff to be vaccinated.
