The daughter of wealthy Russian businessman and politician Andrei Shpilenko was found dead around 2 a.m. on December 17. The body of the 19-year-old was under the house where her family lives. Valeria died after celebrating her birthday, Blitz writes.
Valeria was a student, passionate about art, and often attended exhibitions. He also had several social media accounts, one of which was dedicated to photography. The young woman took beautiful portraits, modestly noting: “I am not a magician, but I am learning.”
Valeria didn’t share much about her personal life online. Among the few photos with friends is one with her parents. In November, he congratulated his mother on her birthday with the poignant words: “You have colored the world pink, happy birthday, mom!”
Andrei Shpilenko is a politician and businessman who has led the Association of Clusters and Technoparks of Russia since 2011. He previously served as Vice President of the United Russia faction in the State Duma and Vice-Rector of the Moscow State University of Technology and Management.
So far, investigators are working on two versions of Victoria’s death: suicide or careless falling from a height.
