Earlier, citizens gathered for a counter-protest in front of the National Palace of Culture in the capital. Their demands are the resignation of President Rumen Radev, whom they call the nation’s divisor. There are several hundred protesters.
People carry Bulgarian flags and posters that say “We don’t want a civil war”, “Radev, the divider of the nation”.
The counter-protesters are demanding the resignation of the president and have already collected more than 7,000 indictments. They declared the anti-government protest paid, which has been in the triangle of power for more than two months, demanding the resignation of the Boyko Borissov government and the chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev.
