Childcare vouchers are one of the support options that the Ministry of Social Affairs prepares for parents whose children are in quarantine imposed by the kindergarten or school. This was announced by the Minister of Social Affairs, Denitsa Sacheva, to BNT. She said that the measure by which a parent can hire a nearby unemployed person to care for their child with a voucher of BGN 610 a month is very popular.

Another possibility is financial support, the minister said, with the stipulation that it will be awarded on the basis of income. There will also be conditions for using paid and unpaid leave. Sacheva did not go into details, but promised that by September 15 all the criteria would be in the schools and parents could obtain information through them.
Pensioners will receive BGN 50 in addition to their pensions in October, and the coalition council will discuss how they will be supported in the future. If the state hadn’t applied the 60:40 measure in support of businesses, now the unemployment rate would be 14%, not 7.9%, Sacheva said.
