RHI reports significant increase in infected children and teachers
Serious growth of children and teachers infected by coronavirus in schools in the capital, reports RHI.
COVID-19 cases have been identified in more than 20 of the schools, RHI-Sofia director Dr. Dancho Penchev said, cited by Dariknews.
However, these are isolated cases. “So far we do not have a single outbreak in a school in Sofia. At the moment there are no students hospitalized with COVID-19. In most cases, the students are only carriers,” commented Dr. Penchev.
Of the 600 teachers studied so far in the territory of Sofia, a very small percentage have developed antibodies.

However, among pedagogues, unlike the development of infection in children, there is a clinic of the disease, but in general there are no serious cases, explained Dr. Penchev.
Detailed data on morbidity in schools in the capital will be presented during the first press conference of the National Coronavirus Headquarters on Thursday.

When asked why in most schools in the capital students sit in pairs, the director of RHI-Sofia commented that in some schools children are housed one by one, but the implementation of the measures is a matter organization by the school leadership.
