These cracks in the bridge are not new. They have been for at least a few years. Apparently everyone expects it to fall by itself.
Tomorrow, a team of specialists from the Plovdiv municipality will inspect the site and thoroughly inspect the facilities.
We will still remember the words of Dimitar Ahryanov, Chief Architect of Plovdiv about the future of this so-called “Concrete Bridge”:
According to the Master Plan, the connection between Yuzhen and Tsentralny is preserved, and the reconstruction of the Plovdiv railway crossing from the entrance to the exit of the city is underway: the entire railway line, including the Plovdiv railway station.
You know, the project is very complicated and difficult. In it, the reconstruction of the Concrete Bridge was negotiated and it was agreed that this connection should exist.
In its current form, it will not disappear until the advance under Central Station and the new “Modar – Tsarevets” junction is made. Only then should the reconstruction of the “Concrete Bridge” connection begin.
The conceptual design does not contemplate the demolition of buildings, but this still cannot be said 100 percent until we see the specific proposal in its final form. “
