The CSKA team achieved a key victory with 3: 1 as hosts in the Europa League third qualifying round against the team from Torshavn. Thus, the Stamen Belchev graduates qualified for the last round of transplants, where they will wait for someone between Basel and Anorthosis.. The Bulgarian team’s goals were the work of Ali Sow, Georgi Yomov and Jules Keita. For the guests, the honorable goal was the work of Sebastian Pingel.

The game started with quite active actions for Stamen Belchev’s team, since in the first 7 minutes the ‘reds’ fired two blocked shots, as well as one from more than 20 meters to Bradley Maziku, who almost hit the guard gate of the guests.
In the 9th minute, meanwhile, the first accurate shot from CSKA arrived. After a break to the right of Graham Carey, he came in and fired, but straight into Hansen’s hands. Four minutes later, Ali Sow made an accurate performance, but again Hansen had no difficulty.
In the 16th minute, the guests showed that they will also have their positions in the match. After a direct free kick from more than 25 distances, Fredericksburg put Gustavo Busato’s reflexes to the test, but the guard held firm.
In the 23rd minute, Stamen Belchev’s boys were inches from the opening of the result. After a deep cross, Jürgen Matej deflected the ball towards Torshavn’s goal, but it was cleared from the goal line by the shooter Pingel.
In the 27th minute, Stamen Belchev’s players received a well-deserved reward for their good start. After a long ball, Graham Carey deflected it at the feet of Yunus Sankare, who in turn found Alu Sow in the penalty area, and the Gambian made no mistake from a few meters, head-on against Hansen by 1: 0.
Five minutes later, the Gambian was able to double his team’s advantage. After another brilliant cross from Graham, Kerry Sow rose to the top and hit a header, which, however, was barely stopped by the Faroe Islands team base.
Seven minutes before the end of the part, the dominance of the Bulgarian team became even more pronounced on the digital scoreboard. After a great combination through the center with the participation of Sankare, Sow and Goergi Yomov, the latter received a pass from the Frenchman and was not wrong when he scored his first goal for the “reds” team.
In the last minute of regulation time in the first half, the guests were able to lower the score. After distracted actions by Stamen’s defenders, Belchev Pingel stayed face to face with Gustavo Busato, but did not hit the ball well and there were no difficulties for the Brazilian.
At the start of the second half, CSKA set the pace again, keeping the ball most of the time. In the 52nd minute, Graham Carey came in from the left, but his diagonal shot went to the side.
In the 61st minute, however, the Faroese boys showed that it is not all over. After a seemingly desperate long pass to striker Sebastian Pingel, he managed to beat both Valentin Antov and the infinitely unconvincing Jurgen Matej to score a goal out of nowhere on Gustavo Busato’s goal by 1: 2.
In the following minutes the nerves of the “Bulgarian army” began to be felt. CSKA remained the most active team and several shots from substitute Jules Keita, as well as Graham Carey, flew away from Hansen’s goal. However, clean conditions were rare and Torshavn’s guests were still at the match.
In the 83rd minute, Stamen Belchev’s boys decided everything. After a great pass from Yunus Sankare to Ali Sow, the goalkeeper managed to return the ball well to Jules Keita on the edge of the penalty area. There the Frenchman turned well and with a measured shot in the lower left corner he put the guard of the guests by 3: 1.
At the end of the match, the lead could have increased, but Ali Sow and Jules Keita failed to turn a good counter attack into goals in the final minutes of the match.
