Part of the pensions will be indexed, the government is considering. The news was announced by the Minister of Social Affairs, Denitsa Sacheva, after a meeting of the Tripartite.
This is one of the options the government is looking at to help pensioners in the winter, Sacheva explained when asked if the BGN 50 pension bonus will continue in the coming months.
“At the moment we have decided to pay supplements of BGN 50 for August, September and October. It will be discussed how the support for pensioners will continue. On the one hand, there is the possibility of continuing this supplement. On the other, it may be to propose policies active with these funds regarding the indexation of part of the pensions, ”said Sacheva.
He added that the decision has not yet been made.
