After the pandemic, there will be a 10% increase under the scheme proposed by CITUB

Borissov is glad that GERB has won 9 mayors in 16 by-elections

Until the end of the coronavirus pandemic, each pensioner will receive an additional 50 BGN per month, and then the income indexation of the elderly will be carried out.

This decision was announced by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov in a conversation with Lesidren residents during his upcoming jeep trip through Bulgaria.

It is not possible for the bonuses and the increase in pensions to occur at the same time, because the additional payment costs 108 million BGN per month, he explained.

The epidemic emergency situation will be difficult to cancel before the beginning of April, predicted doctors from the National Operational Headquarters to “24 Chasa”. The government also estimates that bonuses of BGN 50 will be paid at least in the next 5-6 months. Regular parliamentary elections are scheduled for the end of March.

So far, retirees received a bonus of BGN 50 each for August, September and October.

The increase in pensions will be at least 10%, and will be done in accordance with the scheme proposed by CITUB, with an increase in the insurance burden for each year. This idea was presented for the first time in “24 hours” by the president of the union Plamen Dimitrov. The union’s estimates foresee an increase in the weight of one year of service from 1.2 to 1.3, a minimum pension of BGN 300 instead of the current BGN 250 and a ceiling of BGN 1,440 instead of BGN 1,200 at the moment .

I have already spoken to unions about indexing, Prime Minister Borissov explained Monday. The Minister of Social Affairs, Denitsa Sacheva, also participated in the conversation. Thus, it became clear that Borissov is abandoning the recalculation of pensions awarded until the end of 2014, which has been discussed so far.

Although pensions will be recalculated later in the year, their increase will have to be included in the budget for 2021. The most likely date for the recalculation is July 1, when pensions under the Swiss rule are traditionally increased.

On Sunday, in 16 settlements there were by-elections and GERB won 9 mayors in the first round, in two places it is in a second round, Borisov boasted in front of the people in Lesidren.

“This is a good representative sample, we waged a fierce battle with the BSP and the MRF, who were together, as they are united in parliament,” the prime minister explained. He also commented on allegations by political scientists that GERB is losing ground and will have a difficult time winning the next parliamentary elections.

“We have shown that we are in good shape. It was understood that BSP and MRF will form a coalition and they are currently playing together and only against GERB,” Borissov concluded.

Borisov: Tsvetanov has a new family and I have children

I will not say a bad word about Tsvetan Tsvetanov, we have been together for 20 years. Thus, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov commented on the attacks of the former deputy in GERB, who founded his party on Sunday.

Borisov compared his relationship with Tsvetanov to a divorced family. “Tsvetanov now has a new family, and I have the children left,” the prime minister said. However, he is convinced that one day the person who left the family will return.
