In case of Armenia uses Iskander missile systems, Azerbaijan will receive adequate response. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov.
Under Hasanov’s leadership, a special official meeting was held, during which the current situation with the counteroffensive of the Azeri forces was discussed, reports Haqqin.az.

Hasanov ordered the troops to take vital and necessary measures in the liberated territories.
“The defense minister said that if the enemy uses Iskander tactical missile systems, appropriate retaliation will be taken,” Hasanov was quoted as saying by the press service of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense.
He also ordered the Azerbaijani army to plan actions to attacks on the military-strategic infrastructure on the enemy’s territory, using the types of weapons available in the arsenal.

On the morning of September 27, the escalation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict began. Later that day, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, announced the advance of the troops in Karabakh, and the Azerbaijani army published a video of the destruction of the Armenian equipment.
For its part, Armenia announced the destruction of two Azerbaijani armed forces helicopters and three UAVs in Karabakh, and also announced mobilization and martial law. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also said that Yerevan could recognize the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh.

The current fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh is the most serious escalation of the conflict since 1994, when a ceasefire was signed.
