Seniority, which the businessman announced in May, has been released in auction for sale was shown with the permission of the observer Prosecutor Angel Kanev and photographed by photojournalists and cameramen
World famous archaeologists from Germany and Italy will appreciate the seized treasures
Archaeologists from Germany, Italy and other EU member states will appreciate Vasil Bozhkov’s collection of antiquities. It includes 6,778 artifacts, which were located in almost every room, including the basement and the attic, in the office of his company “Nove Internal” at 43 Moskovska Street.
The Special Prosecutor’s Office, which is in charge of the two cases against the businessman, said it will seek the assistance of internationally recognized independent scientists and archaeologists. The artifacts are stored in the National History Museum (NMH).
On Thursday, with the permission of supervising prosecutors, they were photographed by photojournalists and cameramen. One of them, Angel Kanev, who is also deputy director of the Special Prosecutor’s Office, was personally present at the filming.
The photos refuted businessman Vasil Bozhkov, who in mid-May

He even posted a screenshot of his phone showing that he was being offered an old item that he had bought a year earlier. It turned out that the rhyton did not disappear, but was stored in accordance with all the requirements in the NIM building.
A curious detail is that some of the items, however, were stored in poor condition in Bozhkov’s office. They were crammed into boxes and cardboard scattered throughout the building and even in the hallways. There was also dirty dirt on some of the objects.
The scientists who will be entrusted with the collection experience will be tasked with establishing the current status, cultural, historical and economic value of the objects, which are also material evidence in the case.
Vasil Bozhkov, who has been a fugitive in the United Arab Emirates since the end of January, has 18 charges as the leader of two criminal groups. One of them is

The reason for obtaining such an accusation is that only 212 of the 6778 cases have been registered. The remaining 6,566 were illegally owned. According to the prosecution, the artifacts were acquired by treasure hunters across the country for years. The geographic areas of the entire country were written on the boxes and boxes in which they were kept.
A month ago, the spokeswoman for the attorney general, Siika Mileva, announced that the idea was for the collection of antiquities to become the property of the state.
However, the court will have the last word on this matter. It can be referred to the Commission for the Fight against Corruption and Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Assets (CCACIP).
After Bozhkov was indicted, the institution, headed by former chief prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov, launched an investigation. It can last a year and a half.
The seizure of cultural and historical assets from Vasil Bozhkov’s office lasted until October 8. The researchers entered the Trakia Foundation on January 30, when they had already left the country. Two days earlier, he had received 11 charges in absentia, including that of the leader of a criminal group for evading BGN 700 million in gaming fees.
The building from which the pieces exhibited at the NIM were seized is owned by Nove Internal. Antiques were everywhere on the property: on all three floors, in the basement, in the attic, investigators said.
Art objects were also found in Bozhkov’s house on Vasil Levski Blvd. Some of them were from the personal collection of his wife Elena Dineva and were bought around the world.
