Gruesome revelations have emerged about the death of great businessman Rumen Todoranov. He is president of the Regional Union of Farmers – Pavlikeni, part of the structure of the National Association of Grain Producers (NAZ), was found with a gunshot wound.
BLITZ recalls that he was last seen yesterday morning in the corral in the Tarnovo village of Polikraishte, after which he returned to his father’s home, where he was later found dead with a gunshot wound to the head.
Veliko Tarnovo police did not say whether the weapon with which the bullet was fired was found next to the body, or what caliber and type of weapon it was. The police are investigating all possible versions, from suicide to murder.
“We have information from local colleagues about a 48-year-old man who shot himself in the village of Polikraishte,” police said, adding that the signal was received at 10:30 am on Friday and that the weapon Todoranov took it was legally in possession. .
The people of Polikraishte are shocked by the news of Todoranov’s death.
They share that the farmer is one of the biggest benefactors and that he regularly supports cultural and sporting events in the village with his own funds. Todoranov and his family started farming nearly 20 years ago and today they have tens of thousands of acres of farmland and orchards.
The farmer handles 11,500 decars, mainly cereals and spring crops (wheat, barley, rapeseed, sunflower, and corn). The land is cultivated mainly in the Gornooryahovska and Tarnovo regions, in the villages of Hotnitsa, Rusalya, Momin sbor, in Polikraishte, Krusheto, Parvomaytsi and Yantra. Todoranov also develops organic production: apples and prunes in an area of 72 decares.
