Stella Tennant, one of Britain’s most famous models, died suddenly at the age of 50, Reuters reported.
The tenant comes from an aristocratic Scottish family. Her unusual androgenic appearance helped her enter the world of elite fashion in the 90s of the last century. She became the new face of Chanel and appeared on the covers of the most famous fashion magazines in the world.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Stella Tennant on December 22, 2020,” members of her family wrote to the PA news agency. The BBC quoted law enforcement sources as saying no suspicious circumstances had been found in connection with the supermodel’s death. The tenant was remembered only 5 days after her 50th birthday.
She was the muse for Versace, whose fashion empire wrote on Twitter: “We will miss you forever, Stella! Rest in peace!”
Versace is mourning the death of #StellaTennant. Stella was Gianni Versace’s muse for many years and a friend of the family. We will miss you forever Stella. Rest in peace.
