Students in England prostitute themselves and don’t eat lunch to support themselves

Because of the pandemic, vital livelihoods for young people in England are at risk, said Jake Butler, financial adviser for Save the Student.

The cost of living is £ 800 a month, which gives them a loan of £ 200 less.

Four per cent of students in England are forced to have sex for money to make ends meet, and one in ten is willing to do the same. This shows a study on the Moneysupermarket site, which specializes in financial services.

It turns out that students are among the hardest hit by Britain’s coronavirus crisis. Almost two-thirds of them have to work several hours a week to cover their bills. The reason is that their living expenses are around £ 795 a month and the student maintenance loan they can get is £ 223 less. They work mainly in hotels and restaurants that are the most affected by the pandemic and are cutting staff.

“I miss lunch every day so I can save money and buy other necessities,” a student at Queen Mary University in London told The Independent.

“Because the pandemic is a growing source of livelihood, many students are likely to have no choice but to drop out of college or seek alternative sources of money, such as paid sex,” Jake said. Butler, Financial Advisor for Save the Student. According to him, young people and their parents should be aware of the financial pressure they will be subjected to and plan for backup opportunities. This is especially true for international students, who find it difficult to break their long-term housing contracts.

Predictions that many of them will refuse to come to study in the UK because of the pandemic are not justified. The initial data is even for an increase of 1.7%.

Some of the foreign students, including Bulgarians, started arriving on the island. They are facing the requirement of a 14-day quarantine, but reports have emerged that some are not complying. A 19-year-old English student was fined £ 10,000 for a 50-person party, as only up to six concentrations were allowed.
