In Australia, a former student of a prestigious boarding school is sued by a teacher who seduced him when he was 13 years old. According to the Daily Mail, cited by BLIC, the plaintiff asks for a million Australian dollars.
Court materials say the teenager from a remote city went to school in the city of Toowoomba and was initially dumbfounded by the size of the educational institution and the strict set of rules. The teacher, who at the time was about 25 years old, was hired to help him. The teacher spent hours with the young man in an empty classroom, helped him with his lessons, and then began calling him at his car and at home.
The plaintiff’s attorney, Brian Dooley, says their relationship began with hugs and kisses, and then they began having oral and vaginal sex.
The boy’s parents began to suspect something was wrong when they noticed the teacher touching their son every time at all sporting events. He once asked to visit the boy. The teacher’s wish seemed strange to the mother, but she agreed, as she was glad that the boy was being paid attention. When the teacher arrived, she, according to the applicant’s parents, “was dressed as a teenager”, and the next morning her mother found them in their pajamas on a bed. Then the teacher got dressed and left.
The boy’s father claims that the last straw was the teacher’s love letters, which they found in the teenager. In the letters, she writes that she thinks about him all day and quotes lines from the songs by Savage Garden and Celine Dion.
The parents brought the letters to the school and the teacher was suspended from working with the children, after which her relationship with the boy ended.
Hearings in the case continue.
