Several European countries are strengthening measures against the spread of the coronavirus. However, governments around the world are still trying to avoid a new full quarantine.
The Czech Republic will introduce partial quarantine for a period of three weeks from today. Schools and universities are closing and students are moving to distance education. They are closing restaurants, bars, cafes and other catering establishments, as well as clubs. The Czech authorities believe that tackling the epidemic is impossible without damaging the economy and social life of Czech society.

In France, there is a continuous increase in both newly infected and hospitalized and deaths. He expects 90 percent of beds in intensive care units to be filled by the end of next week. Meanwhile, French scientists have reported very encouraging test results for a new type of test for Covid-19. Use saliva and the result is ready in 40 minutes.
“The test has been designed so that the results are extremely easy to read. You have orange dye, for people with a negative result and yellow, for a positive result,” announced biologist Marin Bitel.

Tomorrow, President Emmanuel Macron is expected to announce in a televised speech new restrictions on the spread of the coronavirus.
Partial quarantine is being introduced in the Netherlands as of today. Bars and restaurants are closed and the sale of alcohol after 8pm is prohibited. Households are prohibited from receiving more than three guests per day. Public transportation will also be limited as much as possible. In recent weeks, the Netherlands has been among the European countries with the highest increase in the number of infected.
Italy is also tightening restrictive measures. As of today, private parties are prohibited and the working hours of bars and restaurants are reduced.
