Today, a lot of amazing news is spreading in soccer circles. According to acquaintances, Tsarsko boss Selo Stoyne Manolov has lobbied for the appointment of Lubo Penev as coach of the national team. He had a conversation with the acting president of the Bulgarian Football Union, Mikhail Kasabov, and told him about his proposal. For his part, Kasabov stated that he would discuss this option with his colleagues on the Executive Committee at the January meeting, Blitz writes.
This news sounds shocking, as Lubo left the soccer union in the fall of 2014 with a scandal and became the coach of the national team, after he fiercely attacked most of his bosses. As is known, at the moment Penev is the boss of Tsarsko Selo.
The favorite for Georgi Dermendzhiev’s substitute remains Alexander Dimitrov, who led the youth team.
