The Bulgarian under 21 youth team achieved a very valuable victory against Latvia with 1: 0. The match of group “5” was a qualification for the European Championship in the age group. The winning goal was scored by Levski star Stanislav Ivanov in the 67th minute.
At the same time, Serbia beat Poland 1-0 and kept our chances. Bulgaria will visit the Poles on Tuesday 13 October and, in the event of victory, will finish second in the group “5” round before the end. Currently, Posha has 16 points and the “lions” have 14 points. Russia leads with 19 points and one more game.

In the 58th minute the Bulgarian players made a very quality attack, which ended with a cross from Tonislav Yordanov to Stanislav Ivanov. At the last moment, a defender of the guests intervened decisively.
Shortly after, reserve Victor Popov passed into the penalty area of Georgi Rusev, who shot his head to the side.
Logic prevailed in the 67th minute. Reserve Zdravko Dimitrov fired a strong shot from the left, but Kudryavtsev slipped to the side. However, there was Georgi Rusev, who centered Stanislav Ivanov. The Levski striker scored with a header 1: 0.
Until the end, the Bulgarians played very focused and did not allow the Latvians to seriously threaten our door.
