In the case of the attack against me, the Ministry of the Interior and the Prosecutor’s Office made a great effort, which I hope will continue after the arrests, to gather more evidence. As a result of all this, it can be said with certainty that the whole picture of the attack against me is clear, starting with the guarantors, going through the intermediaries and reaching the physical perpetrators. This is what Slavi Angelov, editor-in-chief of the 168 Chasa newspaper and Cosmos magazine, told Nova TV.
What I really don’t know is about those two brothers who were arrested, who hit me with an iron in the leg and in the face, Angelov said.
When we talk about justice in Bulgaria, nothing is certain. We have yet to find out what will happen, as such turnovers from the courts in Bulgaria are the rule rather than the exception. In general, however brutal and abnormal that happened to me (because I was punished for doing my job, for informing the public as a journalist), it is nothing compared to what happened to Milen Tsvetkov. He would take the opportunity to ask what is happening to his murderer, why he is no longer in prison, why justice in Bulgaria is so slow, said the journalist.
Unlike my case here, everything was very simple, we saw on the cameras how this young man swept him and killed him. All of us, as journalists, have to ask ourselves the question every day: “What is happening to the murderer of Milen Tsvetkov?”, He concluded.
