Scottish actor Sir Sean Connery died at the age of 90, the BBC reported, citing his family. The cause of death is not specified. The BBC only clarified that Connery died in his sleep at his home in the Bahamas.

He was the first actor to play British agent James Bond on the big screen. Appears in seven of the spy thrillers.

After him, five played the role of Agent 007: George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and the current Daniel Craig, but the first is still the largest according to most critics and viewers.

Sean Connery was born on August 25, 1930 in Edinburgh. His father is a truck driver and his mother is a cleaner.

When he was a student, Sean took an interest in soccer, but to help his parents at the age of 13 he left school and started working. Three years later, at the age of 16, he joined the navy on a 7-year contract, but was fired early for medical reasons.
