There has been a sharp drop in the approval of the measures the state is taking against the coronavirus. This shows a study from the Department of Psychology of the Institute for Human and Population Studies of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. It is dedicated to reactions to stress and ways to deal with it in the context of a spreading infection.
Although there was strong approval of the measures in March: 84% support, now only 35% of the survey participants give a positive evaluation, BNR reported.
60% believe that there is almost no way to avoid the risk of infection.
Anxiety returns to previous levels since early March 2020, according to BAS. His conclusion is that the indefinite duration of the health crisis requires “a change in communication in a gentle direction compared to the increasing number of people who have included their maximum mental capacity to deal with stress.”
