Serbian Prime Minister Ana Bernabic is the first in the country to be vaccinated against Covid-19 with the Pfizer / Biontech vaccine. Subsequently, the Minister of Social Affairs, Daria Kisic Tepavcevic, and the epidemiologist Predrag Kon were vaccinated, Serbian media reported.

After fulfilling the conditions, taking a medical history and completing a form, the Prime Minister received his first dose of the vaccine.

Daria Kisic Tepavcevic expressed her satisfaction that Serbia is among the first countries in the world to receive the vaccine. “The vaccine is already in our country, this is great news. It could be the light at the end of the tunnel of this long epidemic,” he told state television RTS.

The minister added that the decision to start vaccinating people in nursing homes was not made ad hoc and noted that vaccination in nursing homes should start today in Belgrade and Novi Sad, and tomorrow in Nis.

He stressed that doctors are trained and prepared to vaccinate people with a vaccine that he said has been shown to be safe and does not cause serious adverse reactions.
