New TVs may change ownership soon. Negotiations for the sale of the media group, owned by brothers Kiril and Georgi Domuschievi to United Group, a company that recently acquired mobile operator Vivacom, are at an advanced stage. This was reported to Frog News by sources close to Nova Broadcasting Group.
The conditions are being clarified, but it is very likely that the deal will be formed as part / condition of the contract for the transfer of Vivacom. As is known, Vivacom was sold for 1.3 billion euros, after Spas Rusev and company acquired the company for a ridiculous 300 million euros in a disputed auction. Experts continue to claim that the new owners will have to deal with many burdens on Vivacom shares.
The accusations by gambling boss Vasil Bozhkov, who revealed plans to fund Nova TV through advertising contracts worth tens of millions, have also not been forgotten. Kirill Domuschiev denied it. Word for word: any conclusion is possible.
It is also claimed that behind the idea of selling Nova TV to the Serbia-based United Group is Russia’s Vneshtorgbank, which is involved in the purchase of Vivacom by Spas Rusev for around 230 million euros. Among the initiators is the name of Delyan Peevski, who sold Channel 3 and some of its radios to the Domuschiev brothers less than a year ago.
Another reason for the sale was the increasingly difficult financing of the media by Nova Broadcasting Group.
Expected changes in the country’s political and government situation are also among the reasons mentioned for the possible sale.

The group was founded by Serbian businessman Sholak in 2000 as a small cable operator. It remains a minority shareholder with a stake of approximately 39%.

Since 2013, NBG has acquired Netinfo, which develops and maintains information websites and portals. Netinfo’s portfolio includes ABC Mail, Vbox7.com, Vesti.bg, DarikNews.bg, Sinoptik.bg, Edna.bg, Gong.bg, and others.
In early 2016, Nova Broadcasting Group acquired 51% of the group shopping site Grabo.bg, as well as 51% of the online store Trendo.bg.
