The Minister of Health, Prof. Kostadin Angelov, issued three orders in connection with a decision of the Council of Ministers to extend the epidemic emergency situation until the end of September, announced the Ministry of Health. The main changes in the texts are the following:

Negative PCR test and quarantine requirement for arrivals from Turkey, Serbia and Belarus reduced

People arriving in Bulgaria from Turkey, Serbia and Belarus are admitted to the territory of the country without the need to present a document showing a negative result of a polymerase chain reaction test for the detection of COVID-19.

The director of the respective regional health inspection revokes by order the prescriptions issued for the quarantine of people who arrived in Bulgaria from Turkey, Serbia and Belarus in the period between 20.08.2020 and 31.08.2020.

Classes attended in the school and preschool education system resume

Classes attended in the preschool and school education system resume. The educational process is organized and carried out in accordance with the Guidelines prepared by the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Health for the operation of the preschool and school education system in the 2020-2021 school year under the conditions of COVID-19.

Assistance activity in higher schools is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the respective higher school and in compliance with the general anti-epidemic measures implemented in the country. If possible, the learning process is carried out remotely in an electronic environment through the use of information and communication technologies.

Language and educational centers, as well as entertainment centers, organized by legal entities and natural persons, provide their services in an electronic environment and, in case of impossibility, in providing a physical distance between persons of 1.5 meters and in compliance with the anti-epidemic measures introduced.

With regard to visits to strangers / visits to medical institutions, as of tomorrow, September 1, they are only allowed for relatives of terminal patients.

With the same order, in specialized institutions for the provision of social services and for social services of a residential type for children and adults, visits from external persons are exceptionally allowed and at the discretion of the director.

It is recommended to continue the workflow remotely.

The work process of the collective management bodies and employees should be carried out, if possible, remotely (work at home / remote work) or by establishing work schedules with variable limits or shift work. This is stated in an order issued today by the Minister of Health.

According to the order, employers can apply other preventive measures and work methods, depending on the specific characteristics of the respective work activity. The aim is to provide a better level of protection to workers, incl. and limit non-essential contacts in the workplace.
