Despite the ban, the police broke up another secret party with dozens of visitors who are without masks and do not keep their distance.
Secret parties have been held since the beginning of state-imposed restrictions on gathering people, our sources say.
These are celebrations organized mainly in halls and rental rooms, most of which are located on the outskirts of the city or at the foot of Vitosha.
People usually agree to these parties through groups on social networks, and to attend this party they receive a special access password.
Almost all establishments comply with the prohibitions, but there are exceptions. One of the identified offenders is a Latin dance club in the center of Sofia, in the area of the National Palace of Culture. Shortly before midnight on Saturday, the police entered the restaurant at the signal of the citizens and found a party with dozens of guests inside.
The visitors were 42 people, none of them wearing a mask.
“Many of them danced, used alcohol in the booths around the dance floor, the bartender who was found had no employment contract. Another violation: that the cash registers are not included at all. So we will refer to the competent authorities, ”explained the Rumen Kostadinov IV Police Department in the capital.
The coupon was protected, the entry was BGN 10 per person and the guests used the owner’s name as a password.
The uniformed entrants enter along with other visitors. The club is currently closed, but there is a sign on the door with a list of dance lessons taking place in the restaurant. Our team was unable to locate the owner despite repeated attempts.
This is not the club’s first violation. On November 21, the police found 200 people locked inside. Despite the sanctions, the parties continue.
The Interior Ministry reveals that violators often lock up their clients, do not open them to the police and violate security measures in any way.
State authorities explained that the data of the participants in the secret parties did not reach them and there was no way to track if they later spread the virus. However, infractions are subject to fines.
The police have issued subpoenas and will draw up minutes of all participants in the illegal celebration, and penalties range from BGN 300 to BGN 1,000 by law.
The fines for the owner range from BGN 500 to 2,000, but due to the numerous and drastic violations, the case will be referred to the prosecutor’s office.
