Clemens was bought by the famous manager Bill Shankly and is a giant with his performances under the mark in the domain of the “reds” in the 70s of the last century, after which he transferred his solid performance to Bob Paisley.
His career records are unique, with three CASH titles, five English titles, two KNK titles, the European Super Cup, the FA Cup and the League Cup.
Clemens was bought by Scunthorpe United for £ 18,000 in the summer of 1967 and is considered one of the best deals in the club’s history.

He made his debut in September 1968, then replaced Tommy Lawrence at the gate for the 1969/70 season. In his 11 seasons, he only missed six games in the league. CASH’s 1-0 final win over Real Madrid is Clemens’ last game for the club, after which he moved to Tottenham for £ 300,000.
He made his Spurs debut against Middlesbrough in August 1981 and played 240 times for the London club. An injury deprived him of a place in the KNK final against Anderlecht, which Tottenham won, but he stayed on the bench, helping Tony Parks with the penalty on instructions.
