Sacheva advised 9 former ministers not to mix pensions with social benefits

Therefore, the government supported the idea of increasing pensions to BGN 369 by 10% and those exceeding this amount by only 5%. The reason for the sudden decision is public discontent. I understand that there is a crisis situation, but it is not normal with a long-term system to compensate for a temporary crisis situation, because for that there is social assistance, “said former Minister of Social Affairs, Ivaylo Kalfin, in the debate on Wednesday. According to him, it was much fairer recalculate all pensions with money. Most of the former social ministers also agreed with this opinion. The pension system cannot become social, Emilia Maslarova was categorical. He explained that there are criteria for social benefits, while now everyone receives bonuses of BGN 50.
