Moscow is concerned about the increase in NATO military activity in the Black Sea, which has undermined regional stability. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, quoted by TASS, the FOCUS news agency reported.
According to her, the number of visits by NATO naval forces to the ports of the Allies and Allies of the Black Sea, the number of flights of reconnaissance aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles on the borders of Russia is increasing. “The infrastructure of Bulgaria and Romania is being modernized, offensive weapons are being deployed on their territory and scenarios are being developed during exercises that suggest and predict attacks, including on Russian territory,” he continued.
“This is a matter of great concern in our country. We must take into account the increasing military activity of the Alliance and its member states to react accordingly,” said the diplomat. “The Black Sea region already has experience in maintaining security by coastal forces. One player here, obviously not with the best of intentions, is undermining regional stability and driving a wedge between neighboring countries.”
