The number of people reinfected by coronavirus in Bulgaria is increasing. The signs for these cases are multiplying, although it turns out that the health authorities of our country do not monitor the recurrence of the disease, reported btv.
Only in the Academy of Military Medicine there are 4 cases of doctors diagnosed for the second time: two nurses, a surgeon and a medical secretary. They were cured of COVID-19 months ago, some before the 3rd, others before the 8th. Now, however, they are testing positive again.
Three of these four doctors make the reinfection mild, one is in a more serious condition.
The hospital commented that the specialists did not have an explanation for the reinfection.
When asked how many patients are suffering from coronavirus for the second time, the Ministry of Health and RHI said that they do not detect whether a patient has already entered the system or not.
According to virologists, to speak of reinfection, it must be verified by genetic analysis that in both cases the virus is different and it is a second independent infection. In the first infection, the virus may have remained in the body and reappear after some time without reinfection.
